ECA Foundation establishes new European GMP Auditor Association

The ECA Foundation has established the European GMP Auditor Association. The aim of this association is to represent the interests of GMP auditors in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry. It also aims to offer GMP auditors a forum that provides standards and assistance in conducting GMP audits.

The ECA Foundation has already established 8 organisations – for example the European QP Association, which is now regarded as the official representation of the Qualified Person in Europe, and the GDP Association, which is now Europe’s largest Pharma Supply Chain association. We are excited to announce that the European GMP Auditor Association is to follow these examples providing support to colleagues in the industry.

As with all ECA organisations, membership is free of charge for GMP auditors.

Membership offers the following benefits:

  • Access to the members’ area of the Association
  • Use of the discussion forum exclusively for members
  • Access to documents prepared by the Advisory Board
  • Discount on selected auditor events

The European GMP Auditor Association has organised its first GMP Auditor Forum on 25/26 June 2024 in Barcelona, and the association will continue with this forum every two years. At the first GMP Auditor Forum, version 01 of the Good Practice Guide: The ECA GMP Auditors Reference Handbook, will also be published. We will publish the first drafts step by step in the members’ area in advance of the forum. You will find the first two chapters currently available in the “Download” section of the website.

Please visit the new European GMP Auditor Association website for more detailed information.
